NON-CASH DONATIONS AND OTHER WAYS TO HELP

One of our main aims is to get as many children into school as possible and supply them with the equipment they need. Pens and pencils (both HB and coloured pencils) are much needed and we are happy to take second hand supplies as long as they work. It's the little things we take for granted that mean so much to the children in Kenya.
We collect second hand prescription glasses (not sunglasses) to give to those in need. Regular clinics are held by WTM where we check they are needed before allowing people to select a pair that suit their eyesight needs. Hundred's of people queue at these clinics at any one time so we are in need of a constant supply
Old mobile phones are also needed on a regular basis, not to give out to the people in Kisumu but to sell. The money raised from selling each phone is used to buy medicines to help those in need of medical aid.
Medicines taken into the country will be confiscated so it is essential we buy them there. Remember, each mobile phone sold could supply antibiotics and save a life
Bras and pants are in short supply in Kisumu and much coveted. A woman in Africa wearing underwear is considered to be of higher status and therefore less likely to be raped or attacked. We are collecting any size bras and any brand so if you are throwing any away, please consider donating them to us. Knickers are also needed but clean or new only please.

We are looking for individuals and businesses across the UK to collect non-cash donations on our behalf by either advertising on social media as a drop off point or to act as a drop off point in a business setting. We can provide you with posters or notices to place on a box or in a window to attract donations. We can offer to pay postage if required when sending us the donations.
Have you ever had the yearning to go abroad to help improve the lives of others.
We are looking for others to accompany us to Kenya to carry on the good work achieved by the WTM in Kisumu. For further information contact us via Facebook or call 07849 867307
